Sighseeing
The Arch of Drusus (23 A.C.) to be found near the Romanic church of St. Ansano , the Roman theater, whose construction goes back to the first years of the Empire, and the paleocristian basilica St. Salvatore of the 4th century are testimonials of Spoleto's earliest origins.
The Spoleto Cathedral
The Spoleto Cathedral is the city's most important civil monument, originally built during the 12th century and later modificated with the addition of a portico between 1491 and 1504 and the remodeled in the 17th century. The interior contains many works of great artistic merit - a frescoe with the Madonna and Saints by Pinturicchio, a bronze bust of Urban VIII by Bernini, and the tomb of the painter Filippo Lippi.
St. Eufemia church
In order to visit the church of St. Eufemia one has to pass the courtyard of the archbishop's palace. This marvelous place is decorated with small hanging arches and pilaster strips and looks out on the stairway which leads to the Cathedral.
The church of St.Peter
The three portals of this magnificent building together with the Romanic bas-reliefs which flank the middle one leave the visitor breathless for a second. The building's most interesting element - its facade - represents St. Peter and St. Andrew and two steers, symbols of sacrifice.
The basilica of St.Salvatore
The basilica of St.Salvatore is the most ancient church in Spoleto. It is an interesting monument which dates back to the IV - V century. Thus the ornaments of the doors and the windows imitate other constructions in the same area which ornamental style became chracteristic at that time.

Also, the Sagrantino of Montefalco, the Grechetto, the Orvieto Classico and the Bianco of the Colli Amerini and of the Colli del Trasimeno which all could be tasted and enjoyed at here. The great numbers of typical restaurants also offer regional specialties such as the world-known white and black truffles, excellent olive oil and many other gastronomical temptations.
